Buddhist history in Pakistan: art of manipulation in a major media outlet in US

Buddhist history in Pakistan: art of manipulation in a major media outlet in US

Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

The article called Museum exhibit highlights Pakistan’s Buddhist roots” by Emanuella Grinberg (CNN) was a very interesting title and I expected some real enlightenment.  Instead, it was little more than a propaganda stunt or written by an individual who clearly understands little about the history of the Indian subcontinent.

Sadly, the more I read then Melissa Chiu also followed the same theme because the Museum Director at New York’s Asia Society, also made baseless comments based on political correctness and whitewashing the ongoing persecution of all minorities in Pakistan.

It matters not if Melissa Chiu desired this or if it was based on sensitivities or if because of other factors. The end result is that her comment distorts reality by using clever language which places Pakistan within ancient culture but clearly this is false.

Yes, it is not only Hindus and Christians who suffer in Pakistan but also Ahmadiyya Muslims and Shia Muslims are also attacked often by extremists within the Sunni Muslim community.  Or, the discrimination is state sanctioned and in modern day Pakistan both non-Muslims and Muslims face the death penalty for blaspheming against Mohammed.

Therefore, what religious pluralism and what Pakistan history are Emanuella Grinberg and Melissa Chiu talking about?  Pakistan is a relatively new nation and since the creation of Pakistan the Hindu and Sikh population went into sharp decline and ongoing Islamization is continuing.

It is true that the land of modern day Pakistan was at the crossroads of cultural influences but this happened under “mother India.” Hindus in India welcomed religious minorities fleeing Islamic persecution in Persia (Iran) and Zoroastrians fled to “mother India.” However, constant Islamic invasions of “mother India” meant that Islamization would take place in parts of a more advanced Hindu civilization which welcomed religious pluralism – note Syriac Christians, Zoroastrians, Jainism, Buddhism and other faiths which thrived within Hindu civilization.

Indeed, since the creation of Pakistan the Hindu civilization was crushed and this applies to Hindus fleeing, greater marginalization, destruction and neglect of Hindu architecture and temples.  Therefore, while the Muslim population in India remains constant the Hindu population in Pakistan and Bangladesh in such a short period of time is in crisis.

In truth, the Hindus of Pakistan are sharing the same fate which befell the Buddhists of Afghanistan and one day virtually nothing will be left apart from minor images in museums or very small Hindu communities which have no power.

Melissa Chiu comments that “When we think of Pakistan, Americans might associate it with the place where Osama bin Laden was captured, with terrorism and natural disasters…..But actually, it has a much longer history that dates back to an ancient culture that gives us a sense of a pluralistic tradition that was all about tolerance.”

Wrong, Pakistan does not have a long history but “mother India” of course does have a long deep history and it is one of the finest civilizations in the world.  The Hindu civilization faced stagnation and being reduced in size because of Islamic invasions and then British colonialism. However, since independence India is once more emerging and this nation is a rising power and a nation based on pluralism.

Alternatively, since the creation of Pakistan the religious minorities and society on a whole is being Islamized and moderate Muslims, Ahmadiyya Muslims, non-Muslim minorities, and liberals within society are on the back foot.  Christian and Hindu women are often kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam and Ahmadiyya Muslims are treated like second-class citizens in their own land.

Ahmadiyya Muslims and Shia Muslims are not being killed in India because of their religion but in Pakistan many members from both communities have been killed.

Melissa Chiu is using language delicately because Pakistan is a new nation state and the “much longer history that dates back to an ancient culture” does not bare a relationship with aligning this with Pakistan and it should be mentioned under “mother India.”

The “pluralistic tradition” is nothing to do with Pakistan but was part and parcel of Hindu civilization and “mother India.” Since the creation of Pakistan the Hindu population and others have suffered greatly and the old world is becoming “a modern day museum.”

Emanuella Grinberg then states “At its height, Gandhara encompassed present-day Peshawar in northwest Pakistan and parts of eastern Afghanistan, the Hindu Kush, and northwest India, making it a major center of trade, commerce and the development of arts and education. Pakistan may be 95% Muslim today, but Buddhism flourished in Gandhara between the 2nd century B.C. and 10th century A.D., giving rise to a distinct style of Buddhist visual art.”

This information is educational but look what is left out.  How did Afghanistan and modern day Pakistan become 99% Muslim and 95% Muslim respectively?  The factors will be based on multiple reasons but ignoring Islamic jihad, dhimmitude, jizya, forced conversions, pogroms, destruction of Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian and Jain places of worship, is a lot to leave out.

Emanuella Grinberg crosses the line when in her article it is stated that the exhibit also demonstrates Pakistan’s dedication to preserving its multicultural heritage, Pakistan’s representative to the United Nations said.”

UN Amabassador for Pakistan, Abdullah Hussain Haroon, comments that “Buddha represents a human being whose ethereal qualities were so magnified by his enormous wisdom that his values of himself, which were espoused by Gandhi and so many others, became his contributions to mankind.”

I do not doubt the sincerity of Abdullah Hussain Haroon and clearly many people in Pakistan do genuinely support a more tolerant society.  Also, individuals like Abdullah Hussain Haroon want to preserve past history and protect civilizations which are very rich. However, the story is more complex than this and ongoing Islamization is a reality and even Sufi shrines have been attacked in recent times in Pakistan.

The BBC stated In recent years kidnapping for ransom and armed robberies have multiplied in the area and Hindus have increasingly been the focus of attacks….Many pay protection money regularly to local gangs or influential figures. But in spite of this they are still targeted.”

The Hindu American Foundation stated (Washington, D.C. (June 15, 2006)) that “The Hindu American Foundation (HAF) bemoaned the destruction of the last Hindu temple in Lahore, Pakistan. At the time of the partition of India in 1947 Lahore was known as one of the centers of culture and cosmopolitanism. Soon thereafter its great artists, musicians, and its Hindu and Sikh populations either moved voluntarily out of that city or were driven out by the fundamentalist Muslim forces that have shaped the country since then. “The last stroke in making Lahore totally Muslim is the demolition of the only remaining Hindu temple in the city”, said Ramesh Rao, member of the HAF Executive Council.”

“A private developer was allowed to demolish the ‘Krishna Mandir’ at Wachhoowali, Rang Mahal, and construct a commercial building in its place. Government officials, in charge of protecting minority interests, were involved in the machinations that led to the destruction of the last Hindu temple in Lahore. The Evacuee Property Trust Board (EPTB), the government body maintaining properties of minorities, especially Hindus and Sikhs, was said to have concealed facts from the municipal board chairman about the nature of the building. This is not the first time the EPTB has permitted the demolition of a temple. It was only last year that the Vehari temple in Punjab was razed for the construction of a commercial building.”

“These acts of connivance of local authorities in the destruction of non-Muslim religious symbols and in harassing minority groups are in the established tradition of driving minorities out of Pakistan. The Hindu population in Pakistan, which was between 15 and 24 percent in 1947, at the time of partition of India, has now been reduced to less than two percent. “While we applaud the condemnation by several opposition members of the National Assembly like Pakistan People’s Party, and Pakistan Muslim League-N, we realize that the political, social, and religious dynamic in Pakistan allows such attacks on minorities and minority institutions with impunity,” said Dr. Mihir Meghani, President of HAF. “Unless there is worldwide condemnation of this act of destruction, and arrest and imprisonment of officials involved in the matter, there is no hope for minorities in Pakistan.”

Therefore, the author, the ambassador and the museum director in the CNN article can state platitudes about the showing of Buddhist history.  However, Hindu and Sikhs are becoming “real museums” without having “a museum” to show the reality of Pakistan since partition.

The pluralism of past history is nothing to do with Pakistan because past pluralism was based on Hindu civilization and the Indian subcontinent.  Given this, it is deplorable that at a time when minorities face so much persecution and injustice in modern day Pakistan; that an article written by a CNN correspondent is whitewashing past history and the modern day reality of Pakistan.

The author instead comes up with allowing the following comment in her article that “...the exhibit also demonstrates Pakistan’s dedication to preserving its multicultural heritage.”

This could not be further from the truth because much of Pakistan’s past Hindu and Buddhist heritage is under attack.  Also, never mind heritage, the Hindu population since the creation of Pakistan is in clear free-fall percentage wise and institutional discrimination is widespread.

Maybe the author believes it is fine to have a museum which distorts reality and then to make political capital out of the misfortune of past history where Buddhists suffered so greatly at the hands of Islamic rule.  Also, the past eradication of Buddhism after Islamic conquests is not just history because since the creation of Pakistan it is clear that Hindu civilization and the Hindu population faces the same Islamization processes.

This applies to violence, persecution and institutional discrimination.

Also, why does the author allow the following comment: This was one of the great periods of the world of fundamental equity, of human rights and so many other important principles, which are important to Pakistan and the United States today….”

The Buddhist exhibition shows how little is left of Buddhism after Islamization took place and in recent times Hindu and Sikh communities have been forced to flee many areas after the creation of Pakistan.

When does a state sanctioned policy for supporting the death penalty for blasphemy against Mohammed become “important principles?”  Also, how does the ongoing Islamization of Pakistan become turned into“...the exhibit also demonstrates Pakistan’s dedication to preserving its multicultural heritage.”

I am sure that many Hindus will be alarmed by how ancient Hindu civilization and pluralism is being used in the same paragraph to denote Pakistan.

The article by Emanuella Grinberg is very misleading and near the end it sounds like a propaganda piece.  I am astonished that a major agency would allow such a shallow and distorted history to be allowed to be published and manipulated.

Anders Behring Breivik: media spin and hypocrisy in the name of Islamic Sharia law

Anders Behring Breivik: media spin and hypocrisy in the name of Islamic Sharia law

Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

Homosexuals hanged under Islamic Sharia law in Iran

Many individuals and writers who are rather timid in responding to homosexuals being hanged in Iran, amputations in Saudi Arabia for minor crimes, raped women being stoned to death in Somalia and then linking this with Islamic Sharia law, appears to be not on their agenda. However, the same writers who ignore this then link one individual called Anders Behring Breivik in order to lambast Robert Spencer, Pamella Geller and a host of other writers or organizations who support democracy. However, the same individuals fail to link either Islamic institutional discrimination which kills apostates in the name of Islam or when individuals did September 11 and stated openly that it was their Islamic duty.

Eugene Robinson, Opinion Writer at the Washington Post, is just one of the multitudes of hypocrites.  Did the same Eugene Robinson put emphasis on Muslim religious leaders who said that “Islam is a religion of peace” after September 11?

Also, Osama bin Laden was clearly inspired by the Koran and Hadiths and if Eugene Robinson and the same so-called progressives are going to imply the same logic; then do they support pressure being put on people who read the Koran and support Islamic Sharia law?

Yes, many individual Muslim religious leaders may support peace but institutional discrimination in accordance with the teaching of Islamic Sharia law is a fact in many Islamic nations which are ruled by Islam.

Minority Muslim groups like the Alevi in Turkey and Ahmadiyya in Pakistan face Sunni Islamic persecution and if Sunni Islam took power in Syria then the Alawites have much to fear.  Muslims are not a monolith and many individuals will think differently just like Buddhists, Christians, Hindus and non-religious people.  However, Islamic Sharia law is a monolith and it threatens non-Muslims and moderate Muslims like the Ahmadiyya.

Eugene Robinson and a multitude of so-called progressive writers who are now lambasting democrats who understand the threat of global Islamic jihad desire to apply one rule. This applies to hypocrisy and ignoring the greater terrorist threat which kills frequently in nations like Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Thailand and other nations.

If Eugene Robinson and others are trying to silence Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, and a host of others; then what about the multitude of Islamic terrorist attacks whereby non-Muslims and minority Muslim groups are being killed and sometimes beheaded by the followers of radical Sunni Islam……will Eugene Robinson and other so-called progressives denounce Islamic religious leaders who are inciting violence based on the Koran and Hadiths?

Eugene Robinson and the so-called progressives are so politically correct that it makes you wonder what planet they reside on.  After all, in modern day Saudi Arabia all Sunni Muslim apostates face the threat of death and not one single Buddhist temple, Christian church or Hindu temple is allowed.

Shia Muslims are also treated like second-class citizens in Saudi Arabia and clearly the Shia face massive discrimination in Bahrain, Yemen, and other Sunni Muslim dominated nations.  Even in moderate Malaysia the Shia faith is illegal and Sunni Muslim converts to Shia Islam face persecution.

Other Islamic nations implement the death penalty for apostasy but can Eugene Robinson mention one non-Muslim nation in the modern world which supports killing apostates?

Of course religious discrimination exists in other nations but we are talking about killing apostates or the death penalty for non-Muslim men for marrying a Muslim female.  Which non-Muslim nation allows this under its legal code?

In Iran two young homosexuals were hanged and remember apostates and homosexuals are not being killed by deranged individuals who kill innocents, which was the case in Norway whereby Anders Behring Breivik massacred innocent individuals and who will pay for his evil crime against humanity.

On the contrary, Islamic Sharia law is killing these homosexuals and apostates because of state sanctioned discrimination which is based on the Koran and Hadiths.  Also, just imagine, what do you think would happen to a Buddhist/Christian/Hindu male who married a Muslim female in Saudi Arabia?

Yes, for an act of love the Buddhist/Christian/Hindu male would face the death penalty.  Again, note that they would be killed for committing no crime apart from being deemed subhuman under the legal code of Islamic Sharia law.

This hatred is institutional therefore innocents in some Islamic nations which are based on Islamic law are punished or killed for acts of love or thinking freely.  Also, while Islamic religious leaders in these nations continue to support hatred, bigotry, and rampant discrimination by quoting from the Koran and Hadiths; it is abundantly clear that some Islamists believe that one day they will subvert democratic nations and install this hatred.

Eugene Robinson should also note that while every single Muslim apostate to Christianity faces being killed in Somalia it is not a distant problem. Therefore, maybe Eugene Robinson and other so-called progressives believe that killing African Christians in Somalia or homosexuals in Iran is fine or not a problem because the country is distant?

After all, when two million African Animists/Christians/Muslims were being killed by the Arab regime in Khartoum I don’t recall the trendy brigade in the United Kingdom saying much.  Instead it was all about Israel and even the enslavement of Africans in Sudan did not raise much of a shout and today African Muslims in Darfur still face the threat of Arabization.

However, radical Islamists from Somali backgrounds in America and the United Kingdom have actually gone back to Somalia in order to spread Islamic jihad and install Islamic Sharia law.  Therefore, Christians are being beheaded and a raped girl was stoned to death but these barbaric ways are being supported by elements within the Somali community in America and the United Kingdom – this blows away the assimilation theory of Eugene Robinson and surely he understands what Islamic kitman means?

Irrespective of what people may think about Robert Spencer or Pamela Geller they both support democracy, liberty, and the rule of law whereby all individuals are equal.

Is Eugene Robinson going to claim that Islamic Sharia law supports equality and that the testimony of a non-Muslim is equal in court cases involving a non-Muslim and a Muslim?  Is Eugene Robinson going to link the Koran and Muslim religious leaders who have incited violence against non-Muslims and minority Muslim groups?  Is Eugene Robinson going to stand up and denounce institutional hatred against homosexuals who face the death penalty and state that this hatred is inspired by Islamic law?  Is Eugene Robinson going to stand up against Islamic Sharia based nations which support killing non-Muslim men for merely marrying a Muslim female?

It is abundantly clear that Islamic Sharia law, the Hadiths and the Koran support massive discrimination against non-Muslims.  Therefore, the so-called progressives like Eugene Robinson appear to be sleep-walking or they are being extremely selective.

The simple reality is that Anders Behring Breivik will be locked away for the evil he did.  However, when women are being stoned to death, homosexuals are being killed and apostates face the death penalty; all this is being done in accordance with Islamic Sharia law.

This is state sanctioned hatred in the name of a religion which does not tolerate equality when in power.  Therefore, why are Eugene Robinson and the rest of the so-called progressives so noisy about one deranged individual with no political power but then say little about the daily reality of nations like Saudi Arabia?

Also, note the “Islamic victim card” once more but clearly nearly everyone killed by Anders Behring Breivik were either Christian or secular.

Not that it matters who Anders Behring Breivik killed because his actions were pure evil and he should never see the outside world again.  In Norway non-Muslims and Muslims are equal in law unlike the institutional discrimination of nations like Saudi Arabia.

Clearly, the sad fact is that Anders Behring Breivik is being brushed aside by so-called progressives and instead it is an opportunity to attack individuals who are democratic and support liberty.

More important why the clear double-standards and not only this, what about progressives boycotting goods from Saudi Arabia because of state institutional hatred whereby apostates face the death penalty and homosexuals also face the same brutal system. This is all being done under Sharia Islamic law.

Clearly, this will never happen because of energy factors but progressives should not concern themselves with the motives of capitalists.  Also, is Eugene Robinson going to claim that the Koran and Hadiths did not inspire the individuals who did September 11 and that state institutional hatred towards all non-Muslims and homosexuals in Saudi Arabia is not based on the Hadiths, Koran and Sharia Islamic law?

In response to Aftab Khan: Muslims do not believe in the Gospels

In response to Aftab Khan: Muslims do not believe in the Gospels

Lee Jay Walker

Global Security News

Aftab Khan gave a reply to an article by Nazir S. Bhatti but major inconsistences apply to his reply. This not only applies to the dating of the “authentic Koran” but also other statements which appear to be based on Islamic kitman.

Aftab Khan stated that “The Muslims also believe in the Injeel [Gospel], reveled to Prophet Jesus Christ [pbuh], Torah to Moses [pbuh], Psalm to David [pbuh] and revelations to other prophets. Since these books are claimed to be part of Bible, hence Muslims are obliged to respect it, even if they have reservations or different opinion.”

The Gospels were not revealed to Jesus because the Gospels are about the life of Jesus and His statements, deeds and His ultimate sacrifice for humanity.  Therefore, Aftab Khan should understand that the Gospels are based on the “pure actions” and life of Jesus.

Note how Aftab Khan states at first that “Muslims also believe in the Injeel (Gospel…” but ends by stating that “…hence Muslims are obliged to respect it, even if they have reservations or different opinion.”

Clearly Aftab Khan went from “believe” to “respect” but signing off on “even if they have reservations or different opinion.”  Within one paragraph Aftab Khan changed greatly and this is the problem with Islamic kitman because it does not hold any substance.

The Gospels and New Testament are either true or they are false?

Also, it is obvious that the Koran and Hadiths make many errors from both the Old Testament and New Testament.  Therefore, given the fact that Mohammed does not follow the purity of the New Testament and denies the Gospel message that Jesus was the Son of God then clearly Muslims and Mohammed could not “believe” in the Gospels and nor could they “respect it” because Islam states that Jesus was neither the Son of God nor did He die on the cross.

In other words Islam is saying that the Gospels are lies and this is the problem with Islam because the confusion is great.  Also, it is strange that the Koran and Hadiths state that Jesus was the purest of all men and that He was born special and was taken to heaven after His death.

However, the Koran and Hadiths clearly show Mohammed in a lower light because he was not born special and on his death it was unsure if he went to heaven or not.  More important, the Hadiths tell us that Mohammed married a child, had sex with concubines, enslaved and supported the killing of apostates.

This is strange because the Koran and Hadiths do not say anything negative about the life of Jesus but they paint Mohammed in a bad light.  Therefore, what made Mohammed the greatest prophet when the Koran and Hadiths clearly show that he was a man who married more than 9 wives, married a child, had sex with slave concubines and supported jihad……what is special about any of this?

If Aftab Khan is trying to claim that non-Muslims have equal rights in Pakistan then if this applied it would only be because of secular law.  After all, Aftab Khan knows that according to Islamic Sharia law it is punishable by death for non-Muslims to marry Muslim women.

Aftab Khan also knows that the Hadiths support killing apostates and in modern day Saudi Arabia all apostates face the death penalty.

In fact, it is abundantly clear that non-Muslims and Ahmaddiya Muslims are unequal in Pakistan and clearly if a non-Muslim male desired to marry a Muslim female then this would cause uproar.

Today a young Christian lady in Pakistan faces the death penalty and every day she resides under complete pressure and why Aktab Khan?  Yes, becasue of discrimination and just for mere words in Pakistan you can face the death penalty.

In Pakistan it is clear that the roots of Hinduism and Buddhism were part of the very fabric of what became Pakistan before the Islamic invasions of the Indian subcontinent. However, the de-Hinduization of Pakistan continues and the blasphemy law in Pakistan is aimed at protecting Mohammed and for merely saying something about Mohammed you face the death penalty.

Obviously, if you say something negative about Lord Ram and others then nothing would happen.  Is this the equality that Aftab Khan is talking about?

Finally Answering Islam states the following about the authentic Koran:

“The other manuscript said to be one of the Uthmanic codices is the one on display in the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul. Once again it requires only a sight of the text to discount this possibility as we are again faced with a Kufic manuscript. Then again, like the Samarqand codex, it is written on parchment and is also largely devoid of vocalisation, both of which suggest that it, too, is one of the very earliest manuscripts of the Qur’an to survive, but those who claim that it dates back as far as Uthman himself must explain the obvious anachronism in the use of a Kufic script.”

“This manuscript is also supplemented with ornamental medallions, indicating a later age, with occasional ornamentation between the surahs as well. One only needs to compare it with the Samarqand codex to realise that they most certainly cannot both be Uthmanic originals. The Istanbul codex has eighteen lines to the page whereas the Samarqand codex has between eight and twelve; the Istanbul codex is inscribed throughout in a very formal manner, the words and lines always being very uniformly written out, while the text of the Samarqand codex is often haphazard and considerably distorted. One cannot believe that both these manuscripts were copied out by the same scribes. (As pointed out already, it is hard to believe that even the Samarqand codex alone was not written out by a number of different scribes).”

“An objective, factual study of the evidences shows that neither of these codices can seriously be regarded as Uthmanic, yet one finds that Muslim sentiment is so strong at this point that both of them are said to have been not only Uthmanic originals but even the actual Qur’an which Uthman was reading when he was murdered! A photograph of a page from the Samarqand codex appears as a frontispiece in a book titled Muhammad in the Quraan published in Pakistan by an author who only gives his initials (S.M.A.) and, underneath the photograph, a caption appears clearly identifying it as the Samarqand text now preserved in the Soviet State Library and alleging that “This is the same Quran which was in the hand of the Caliph when he was murdered by the rebels and his blood is still visible on the passage ‘Fasa Yakhfihum (sic) Ullah-o-Wa huwasamiul-Alim’ (Surah 2.137)”.

“In a recent edition of the Ramadan Annual published by The Muslim Digest in Durban, South Africa, however, a photograph appears of the Topkapi Codex in Istanbul, correctly identifying it as such, but alleging that it belonged to Uthman with the comment “This Qur’an, written on deerskin, was being read by the Caliph when he was assassinated and the bloodstain marks are still seen on the pages of this copy of the Qur’an to this day” (Vol. 39, Nos. 9 & 10, p.107).

“It is most intriguing to find that both the manuscripts are not only attributed to Uthman but are alleged to be the very codex in his own possession which he was said to have been reading when he was assassinated. Of course each one has verifiable bloodstains of the Caliph himself to prove the point!”

“It is contradictory statements like these, where the same fame is claimed for each of these codices, that expose the Muslim approach to this subject as one based not on a cautious historical research dependent on available evidences but on popular sentiment and wishful thinking. It would suit the Muslim world to possess an Uthmanic original, it would be convenient to have a codex of the earliest possible origin to verify the proposed textual perfection of the Qur’an, and so any manuscript of the Qur’an surviving that can be shown to be of a relatively early age is automatically claimed to be the one desired! It hardly matters that the same claim is made for more than one codex, or that in each case internal evidence (particularly the Kufic script) must lead an honest enquirer to presume on a much later date.”

“The Samarqand and Topkapi codices are obviously two of the oldest sizeable manuscripts of the Qur’an surviving but their origin cannot be taken back earlier than the second century of Islam. It must be concluded that no such manuscripts of an earlier date have survived. The oldest manuscripts of the Qur’an still in existence date from not earlier than about one hundred years after Muhammad’s death.”

Christians do not need to get into a debate with Muslims about if Mohammed could have visited the furthest mosque during Mohammed’s mystical night journey to Jerusalem; after all, no mosque existed in Jerusalem at this time and the mystical animal that Mohammed flew on also did not exist.

This is merely petty point scoring and all religions “can throw stones” but this is not the point and atheists will deem both Christians and Muslims to be wrong and so forth.

However, what is important is equality and religious freedom based within the legal framework and which is implemented in order to protect all citizens.

It is abundantly clear that Islamic Sharia law does not support equality and in the twenty-first century you still have the death penalty for leaving the Islamic faith in nations like Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, The Maldives, and Yemen.

In other mainly Muslim nations you also have discrimination within family law and so forth.  Therefore, in Egypt it is clear that Coptic Christians face discrimination and the same applies in Pakistan because the blasphemy law in Pakistan is used against all minorities in order to protect the dominance of Islam in Pakistan.

The modern Koran is not a replica of either the Istanbul or Tashkent version and if Aftab Khan is even trying to imply this then clearly he is mistaken because neither are complete and clearly the dating is not based on 19 years afterwards.

Aftab Khan should focus on the reality of modern day Pakistan and he should not bother with Islamic kitman because it does not wash.

In the lands of Mecca and Medina all apostates from Islam face the death penalty and discrimination throughout the Islamic world is rampant.

Ahmaddiya Muslims are only killed and persecuted by Muslims because they have religious freedom in mainly non-Muslim nations. Why?

Western economic aid to Muslim nations who hate non-Muslims

Western economic aid to Muslim nations who hate non-Muslims

The Modern Tokyo Times

Christian mother faces the death penalty in Pakistan

Christian mother faces the death penalty in Pakistan

The Islamic onslaught in Pakistan continues to grow despite this nation being deemed an ally and receiving Western economic aid throughout this land.  The recent floods saw mainly Western nations donating quickly but just like Afghanistan and Iraq it is clear that Muslims still hate religious minorities.

Political leaders in non-Muslim nations keep on telling us how peaceful the religion of Islam is and President Obama says very little about Islamic persecution of minorities.  Instead, President Obama and other political leaders, and many parts of the mass media, desire to not only gloss over reality but they are prepared to lie openly and use quotes that suit their agenda.

In Afghanistan thousands of American troops and other allied forces have been killed for trying to develop and stabilize a nation which is divided by ethnicity, sectarianism, and clan based politics.  However, if one Afghan national desires to openly convert to Christianity or Buddhism or any other non-Muslim faith then they face the death penalty.

Therefore, military troops from America and the United Kingdom, and other allied nations, are dying not for democracy but for maintaining Islamic Sharia law and preserving a nation state which hates Christianity, denies the equality of women, despises all other non-Muslim faiths, and wants to stop all alternative thought patterns that will challenge an Islamic state based on Islamic Sharia law .

In Iraq the Christian community is under siege and this nation which once was based on secular law is now under Islamic Sharia law.  The Christians of Iraq and other minorities like the Mandaeans, Shabaks, and Yazidis, have been abandoned and hundreds of thousands have been forced to flee. Non-Muslims that remain in Iraq feel betrayed and marginalized.

The more economic aid that Afghanistan and Pakistan get then the more Islamized these nations become.  I am not just talking about radical Islamic organizations because it also applies to the institutions of these nations and the Muslim public on a whole which still hates religious pluralism and religious equality.

It is just like Saudi Arabia which is a haven and funder of many Islamic organizations which are spreading hatred.  This nation once was a backward Muslim society where modernization had been crushed by Islamic dogma and Mecca was a dustbowl.  However, the British and then America, and a host of other modern nations, helped this nation to develop.

Yet the thanks that mainly Christian and secular based nations got was more hatred towards all non-Muslims in Saudi Arabia and this culminated with the majority of people being Saudi nationals who did September 11th.  Also, you have mass Saudi funding which is spreading Islamic hatred far and wide and only last week in the United Kingdom it was stated that Saudi funding organizations are teaching hatred in British Muslim schools.

At the same time another majority Muslim nation called Egypt gets enormous amounts of American economic aid but does this help the Coptic Christians?  The answer is no because Coptic Christians are treated negatively in Egypt at best and they suffer discrimination within the judicial process. At worse, Coptic Christian women are raped and forced to convert to Islam and you have killings of Coptic Christians by Muslims who think that it is their define right to kill in the name of Allah.

Turning back to Pakistan then this hatred can be seen by recent events and this applies to a Christian male called Zohab who was forced to convert to Islam after falling in love with a Muslim girl called Anum.  He converted to Islam because of Muslim attacks against local Christians in Balida Town, Karachi.

Like usual the institutions of Pakistan failed the local Christian community just like it fails Hindus, Sikhs, Ahmadiyya Muslims, and others on a daily basis.  Local Muslims had threatened to burn the local Christian church to the ground.

At the same time in Pakistan a Christian female faces the death penalty and Islamic organizations are baying for her blood and like usual many Muslim clerics are joining the bandwagon.  Killing or persecuting in the name of Allah is a daily pastime in many Muslim nations and Asia Bibi, a Christian mother, now awaits her fate after being sentenced to death on accusations of blasphemy for saying something about Mohammed.

Asia Bibi is now in Seikhurura jail but why isn’t Islam being “put in jail” and for that matter why aren’t nations like Afghanistan, Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, and a host of other Islamic based nations being “put in jail?”

However, instead of political Islam and Islamic ways being challenged openly by the democratic world the opposite appears to be happening.  This applies to increasing Muslim immigration to non-Muslim nations and then some nations like the United Kingdom are allowing aspects of Sharia Islamic law to be used in certain courts.

It should be remembered that the vast majority of Muslims from Pakistan in the United Kingdom cared little about Islamic terrorist organizations in the 1960s and 1970s or about Islamic Sharia law. However, the political correct kept on allowing more radical Muslim religious leaders into the country and allowed the Muslim “victim card” to grow in the mass media. Also, liberals like Prince Charles talked openly about the beauty of Islam despite the fact that not one Church of England church is allowed in Saudi Arabia.

B. Raman, a specialist in this field stated in the South Asia Analysis Group, paper number 1767, that “For the last fifteen years, there has been a conflict between the Deobandis and the Barelvis for the control of the mosques and their funds not only in Pakistan, but also in the UK. Previously, the Barelvis used to control the mosques in the UK frequented by immigrants from the sub-continent, but they have since been driven out by the Deobandis and Wahabis. This was the starting point for the radicalisation of the Pakistani-origin Muslims in the UK and in the other countries of West Europe. The ISI (Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence) has been supporting the Sipah-e-Sahaba and the LEJ in Pakistan as well as in West Europe.”

At the moment it is clear that Islam keeps on spreading in many non-Muslim nations because of immigration, mixed marriages, conversions to Islam because of liberal Muslims who are on a hard sell course involving major kitman, the Muslim “victim card” in many media outlets, and Islamic funding from nations like Saudi Arabia is spreading a dual message. This applies to literal Islam and kitman Islam in order to spread the faith.

Despite this the democratic world keeps on sending vast sums of money in order to help mainly Muslim nations and in return for this they still hate non-Muslims and Islamization continues.

It appears that the democratic world is sowing the seeds of its own demise and it is clear that in the past that when Buddhists and Hindus were strong in Afghanistan that they did not understand the nature of Islam.  Once they understood the nature of stealth jihad, kitman, jihad, and Islamic Sharia law, then it was too late because soon all Buddhists and Hindus would face the sword of Islam and this was replicated in many other societies.

Even in modern times it is clear that de-Christianization is ongoing in Kosovo and de-Hinduization is ongoing in Kashmir and Pakistan. The same applies to Buddhists in southern Thailand and a host of other places like the Chittagong Hill Tracts in Bangladesh where all non-Muslim groups face an Islamic onslaught and the Hindu population in Bangladesh is also in freefall.

Will the democratic world wake up or will they be crushed by liberal and left-wing forces which appear to be on a self-loathing mission while supporting the Muslim “victim card” and notion that Islam means peace?

Or a more alarming comment could be aimed at the political elites within the democratic world for endangering the free world by implementing policies that favored Islam and ignored the reality of political Islam and stealth jihad.  Will these elites ever wake up or are they beyond reach?

Bangladesh and Pakistan: where minorities fear to walk

Bangladesh and Pakistan: where minorities fear to walk

Radical Islamist and hatred
Radical Islamists and the persecution of minorities

In modern day Bangladesh and Pakistan you have constant persecution of non-Muslim minorities and also minority Muslim communities are being killed in the name of radical Sunni Islam in Pakistan.  Therefore, Ahmadiyya Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Shia Muslims, Sikhs, and others, face daily persecution and hatred in Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively.

On August 11th this year it will be “Minority Day” in Pakistan, however, Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti of the Pakistan Christian Congress announced that they will be observing ‘Black Day” because of the constant persecution of minorities in Pakistan.

Dr. Nazir S. Bhatti states “How we can celebrate Minority Day in Pakistan when our innocent brothers are being killed by Islamic militants and our women are being gang raped and enforcedly converted to Islam.”

It is clear that the partition of India led to chaos and hundreds of thousands of people were murdered.  After this chaos divisions would emerge between East Pakistan and West Pakistan and further bloodshed would occur, with the outcome being the sovereign nations of Bangladesh and Pakistan.  However, while India remains to be multi-religious, the opposite is happening in Bangladesh and Pakistan because religious minorities are facing the brute reality of radical Sunni Islam.

To make matters worse both Bangladesh and Pakistan would witness the gradual Islamization of their societies, notably Pakistan, and massive corruption and persecution of women would continue.  The Islamization of both nations was especially traumatic for Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan and for Hindus and Buddhists in Bangladesh. Not surprisingly, this Islamic persecution of minorities in both nations re-awakened anti-Islamic feelings in India.

Christians in Pakistan also began to feel the brunt of radical Sunni Islam and the same applies to Ahmadiyya Muslims who suffer greatly.  At the same time you also have growing divisions within Sunni Islam and the usual Sunni-Shia divide led to many massacres and terrorist attacks.

However, unlike the destruction of Buddhism and Hinduism in Afghanistan which happened centuries earlier because of Islamic conquests, forced conversions to Islam, systematic persecution, and controlling all leverages of power; the Islamization of Bangladesh and Pakistan took place in the twentieth century and continues today.

Yet why are Buddhism and Hinduism being allowed to be destroyed in both nations?  After all, Buddhists in Bangladesh were a small minority and they could never threaten Islam; the same applies to Hindus in Pakistan.  Despite this, the international community remains very silent.

Therefore, why did other nations remain quiet when massive religious persecution was taking place?  After all, nations like France, the United Kingdom and America were espousing ‘democracy’ and liberals were glorifying multi-faith societies and stating that Islam was a religion of peace.  At the same time major institutions like the Commonwealth, which espoused global human rights, remained quiet despite religious persecution and pogroms in Bangladesh and Pakistan.

In Pakistan the destruction of Hinduism and persecution of Hindus took many forms.  The first path was the massacre of Hindus during partition and forcing Hindus to leave via coercion.  However, over the last 50 years the destruction of Hinduism in modern day Pakistan was based on past Islamic global conquests and the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed who sanctioned the persecution of non-Muslims.  For the Prophet Mohammed had told his followers to ‘Fight those who believe not in God nor the last day . . . Nor acknowledge the religion of truth (Islam) . . .’ Therefore, the followers of Hinduism were to be subdued in accordance with the teachings of Islamic Sharia Law, the Koran and the Hadiths.

Given this, Hindus were now a subdued minority, like Christians in Pakistan, and they were unequal in law and status in accordance with the teachings of Islam.  At the same time Hindu temples were often converted into Muslim mosques or destroyed, and ancient Hindu architecture was left to collapse and fade away.  The choice for many Hindus was either to convert to Islam in order to escape persecution, flee to India or to accept that they were second-class citizens in Pakistan.  Not surprisingly, the Hindu population in Pakistan continued to decline and this civilization was being eradicated by Islam.

The situation for Buddhists in Bangladesh was different, for Buddhism had survived countless Islamic conquests in one region because of terrain and other factors; therefore, Buddhists and other faiths had survived in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.  However, the increasing population of Bangladesh led to many problems and the government of Bangladesh hoped ‘to kill two birds with one stone.’  This applies to moving millions of Muslim people to remote parts of Bangladesh, notably the Chittagong Hill Tracts, while at the same time this new Muslim migration would crush the mainly Buddhist tribal opposition in this region.

Therefore, millions of Muslim migrants were moved into the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the mainly Buddhist tribals (some are Christian, Hindu or follow traditional beliefs) became embroiled in a civil war.  Islamic radicals also moved into this region and many Buddhist priests were killed, including some being beheaded.  At the same time hundreds of Buddhist temples were destroyed and the Bangladesh army took part in many massacres, and some Buddhist women were gang-raped by both Islamic zealots and the Bangladesh army.

In time the mainly Buddhist tribals were overwhelmed by the armed forces of Bangladesh and Muslim migration because this was a clear dual policy based on Islamization and control.  Their situation, however, went unnoticed in the West and Islamic nations obviously remained silent.  To make matters worse, the mainly Buddhist tribes had no nation supporting them and no major world leader to draw attention to their plight.  Given this, the government of Bangladesh continues with this policy and Buddhists and other minorities face the ongoing Islamization of the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Therefore, the destruction of thousands of years of Hindu/Buddhist civilization in these nations is being destroyed and the world remains largely silent.  It is clear that mainly Buddhist nations like Japan (and Shinto), Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and others, should form an organization to help their co-religionists; with Japan being the main financial power to raise awareness of Buddhist persecution.  However, sadly this is not happening and India clearly did not do enough in order to protect or raise the issue of Hindu persecution in both Bangladesh and Pakistan.

If global silence continues then Buddhism will one day be eradicated in Bangladesh.  However, the global community did condemn the Taliban in Afghanistan for destroying Buddhist statues and art, yet the same global community remains quiet when Buddhist tribes are being systematically persecuted.  Does this mean that Buddhist art in Afghanistan is more important than the persecution of Buddhist communities and the gang rape of Buddhist women in Bangladesh?

Surely the Hindus of Pakistan and Buddhists in the Chittagong Hill Tracts deserve better?  If the international community remains silent about this crime, then soon these lands will be Islamized and religiously ‘cleansed.’

The ongoing silence is an international disgrace and because of this Islamists are now killing Ahmadiyya Muslims and Christians in Pakistan.  After all, the world remained silent when Hindus and Sikhs faced massive persecution in Pakistan and the same applies to the constant destruction of Buddhist tribal villages in Bangladesh.  Therefore, the persecution of all minorities is getting worse in modern day Pakistan.

The most vulnerable and ‘voiceless’ in Bangladesh and Pakistan have been abandoned by the international community.  Why?

Islamic fanatics slaughter Ahmadiyya Muslims in Pakistan

Islamic fanatics slaughter Ahmadiyya Muslims in Pakistan

Lee Jay Walker  – The Modern Tokyo Times

Radical Islamist and hatred

Radical Islam once more strikes Pakistan because Sunni Islamic fanatics are intent on installing a radical Sunni Islamic monoculture on the people of this nation.  However, in Pakistan you have many diverse Muslim communities, for example Shia Muslims and Ahmadiyya Muslims, and of course you will have many sub-divisions within each branch because of ethnicity or certain factors and you will have many differences within Sunni Islam.

Also, you have other faith groups and this applies to Christianity, Hinduism, and Sikhism.  Despite this, the men of hatred desire to enforce their version of Islam on the entire population, Therefore, Pakistan is being torn apart by the “year zero” mentality of radical Sunni Islam and this can be seen by the recent slaughter in Lahore.

This latest massacre is a continuation of Sunni Islamic hatred which slaughters Christians in Nigeria, kills Buddhists in southern Thailand, and spews it hatred towards all irrespective of the continent you reside in.  It is part of the same evil force which did September 11th and which stones women to death for adultery in Somalia and which kills converts to Christianity in the same land.

Radical Sunni Islamists are at war against humanity and diversity, just like the Islamic past and it is clear that enemies are everywhere.  Therefore, in modern times radical Islamists are killing or persecuting Buddhists (southern Thailand and Bangladesh); killing and persecuting Christians (Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and other nations); slaughtering and victimizing minorities like the Shabaks, Mandaeans, and Yazidis in Iraq; and Islamists in Pakistan are also persecuting Hindus and Sikhs.

Therefore, the latest terrorist attack against Ahmadiyya Muslims in Pakistan is a mere continuation of this hatred and the ongoing monoculture which is behind radical Sunni Islam.  Given this, Ahmadiyya Muslims, Christians, Shia Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs, are all targets of this violent ideology and they are being persecuted in the name of Islam in Pakistan.

Of course certain Western leaders desire to appease radical Islam and this certainly applies to the current leader of America, President Obama.  After all, President Obama bent over backwards in Egypt in order to appease Islam and he clearly did not care about the ongoing victimization and persecution of Coptic Christians who are suffering so much in this land.

Therefore, while the latest slaughter of Ahmadiyya Muslims in Lahore, Pakistan, is shocking and a crime against humanity; it is sadly predictable and for Sunni Islamists their hatred is inspired by the teachings of Mohammed and to them they deem all others to be infidels.

The death toll at the moment is at least 70 people but it may rise and clearly Sunni Islamists do not care if they slaughter innocents in a mosque.  To them, it is their sacred duty to kill in the name of Allah and if this applies to killing people in a Christian church, a Muslim mosque, a Buddhist temple, or wherever, then it does not concern them.

However, will this latest massacre wake the world up to this evil ideology or will it be appeasement time once more?  I know what I wish but given the current state of affairs then words like “Islamic terrorism” will wound leaders like Obama and writers like Karen Armstrong.

To them, and many others who appease Islamists and the reality of the Koran and the Hadiths, the latest massacre of Ahmadiyya Muslims will mean little.  Therefore, the ongoing Islamic jihad which began with Mohammed will continue against all who refuse to be dhimmis. This jihad will be based on Islamic propaganda, massacres, terrorism, and the duplicity of the West which is reaching out to an ideology which does not seek compromise

Let us remember the words of Tariq Mota who murdered a Muslim cleric called Mohammed Yousaf Ali because this cleric supported religious diversity.  He stated that “I now feel spiritually satisfied. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to kill these infidels.”

If we follow this by the words of Mohammed who stated in Verse 9:73 in the Koran that “O Prophet! Strive hard (wage war) against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell, – an evil refuge indeed.” While the Hadith 9:4 states that “Wherever you find infidels kill them; for whoever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection.

Then it is clear that Islamists are killing in the name of Islam and in the name of crushing all forms of diversity within Islam or the non-Muslim world.  Therefore, this hatred which is inspired by the Koran and the Hadiths will continue to butcher and kill innocents irrespective of your religion or if you have no religion.

However, when will the so-called elites wake up to this global menace?
