Syrian groups meet in Qatar which is supporting terrorism, sectarianism and sedition against Syria

Syrian groups meet in Qatar which is supporting terrorism, sectarianism and sedition against Syria

Walter Sebastian and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

Individual Syrian opposition groups are meeting in a nation which is creating so much carnage against Syria and the Syrian people. It is inconceivable that such groups don’t know that nations like Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are enabling terrorists, seditionists, mercenaries and covert operatives to destroy secular Syria. Therefore, individuals who are now meeting in Doha are not only “selling their soul” but clearly they care little that this nation is responsible for so much carnage, including the growing role of Islamist killers in Syria.

If individuals are against the Syrian government then this is up to them. Yet, to gather in a nation which is inciting hatred and sowing the seeds of sectarianism; then this is unforgivable. Nothing can justify the barbarity being unleashed against the Syrian people including beheading individuals, countless massacres, cleansing Christians and other minorities, killing journalists and destroying the economy. However, despite Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar causing so much suffering in Syria and creating sectarianism and terrorism; you now have Syrians entering Qatar which is supporting so much hatred towards Syria.

Also, look at the mass contradictions of this gathering. After all, are nations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar democratic? Therefore, why would Syrian opposition groups enter “this den of sectarianism and hatred” which is fueling so much carnage in Syria? Similarly, how ridiculous is it to demand political rights within such a feudal nation state which is ruled by wealthy monarchs.

It is known that some Christians, Kurds and Alawites are being manipulated in order to claim that “a broad church” exists. However, in the last few days many Kurds have been killed by the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and a female Kurdish leader was killed after being tortured. At the same time, more Christian churches have been attacked and clearly Christians are fleeing Islamist terrorists and not the Syrian armed forces which are protecting the Christian community. Similarly, Alawites are being beheaded and butchered in other ways alongside Shia Muslims by Sunni Islamist fanatics who hate religious diversity.

Also, for Kurds, Christians and Alawites, then why are they in league with another axis of evil called the Erdogan government of Turkey? Do Kurds really believe that Turkey is a land of equality and freedom in Turkey for the Kurdish population? Likewise, do Alawites believe that the Alevi have equal rights in Turkey? The same applies to various different Christian sects who have suffered so brutally in Turkish history –after all, did Christianity survive in Syria or in Turkey to a major degree? Therefore, why are religious and ethnic minorities putting their trust in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar?

Many media agencies are stating “rebel forces” but when did al-Qaeda become a rebel force? The same applies to other Islamist terrorist organizations doing car bombings, killing minorities, destroying churches and burning Bibles. Other groups like the loosely FSA outfit is a mixture of Islamists, mercenaries and terrorists. Also, seeing them being paid in crispy dollars sums up much about this anti-Syrian setup.

Therefore, in Doha you have many Syrian opposition groups happily visiting a nation which is funding so much carnage against Syria. Also, from a distance you have America, France and the United Kingdom meddling. Maybe, these Syrian opposition groups really believe that these forces helped the people of Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq? If so, then once more they must have their eyes closed because the reality is more terrorism, failed nation states, sectarianism and decreasing rights for women.

It is known that people like Riad Seif and others are being groomed by America and other nations, depending on the respective individual. Once more it is outside meddling which is intent on dictating to Syrians.

If the government of Bashar al-Assad falls, it will fall because so many nations have supported terrorism, sectarianism, sedition and other brutal methods. Clearly, the carnage in Syria belongs to outside nations and terrorist organizations which care nothing about this nation. The mass media can re-write events like usual but clearly the Assad government continues to survive because of internal factors. Despite this, the nations of Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are still funding and enabling terrorists, mercenaries, covert operatives and the flow of arms to enter Syria.

Instead of Syrian opposition groups dealing with nations which are supporting the destruction of Syria; they should focus on internal mechanisms outside of wanton violence and sectarianism. Indeed, the people of Syria need protecting from the axis of evil in Ankara, Doha and Riyadh. Therefore, irrespective of the final outcome of the meetings taking place in Qatar, it is clear that these groups have no qualms in visiting a nation which is spreading carnage within Syria and which is blatantly feudal.

France and Turkey want a terrorist free zone to destroy the independence of Syria

France and Turkey want a terrorist free zone to destroy the independence of Syria

Jibril Khoury and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

France and Turkey are in favor of creating “terrorist free zones” in order to create “areas of cancer” to destroy the independence of Syria. It is abundantly clear that leaders in Paris and Ankara care little about the reality that it is outside intervention which is responsible for the carnage against an independent state. After all, France and Turkey are two of the nations which are creating the carnage alongside America, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Kingdom.

President Francois Hollande of France stated that “We are working … [on] the initiative of buffer zones proposed by Turkey…We are doing so in co-ordination with our closest partners.” These buffer zones will also be “terrorist free zones” in order to enable the mercenary forces of the FSA to plan fresh religious cleansing attacks against Christians, Shia Muslims, Alawites and against Sunni Muslim areas which are loyal to the government of Syria.

It matters not to Hollande that the FSA have attacked religious minorities, targeted journalists openly, been responsible for countless numbers of terrorist attacks and are on video tapes whereby they behead and hang people deemed to be loyal to the government of Syria. Indeed, the more brutal the attacks by the FSA the more they appear to be rewarded by forces in Ankara and Paris who desire to hide behind America and NATO.

This behavior is being replicated by the international community which is allowing Saudi Arabia and Qatar to fund terrorism, sectarianism and sedition against sovereign Syria. The crisis in Bahrain is being contained because nations like Iran, the Russian Federation and China are not supporting international terrorism, sedition and sectarianism. However, for Syria it is clear that America, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Kingdom and Qatar are supporting the destabilization of Syria by funding and training terrorists and mercenaries.

Political leaders in Washington, London and Paris are also using the “chemical weapons issue” in order to justify international intervention. This reality is just like the “false flag” against secular Iraq whereby weapons of mass destruction were used to justify the invasion of this nation. Therefore, the three nuclear powers and the sellers of vast quantities of military hardware in the world are highlighting not only their complete hypocrisy – but they are also showing the world that they care nothing about alternative viewpoints in their continuing quest of invading sovereign nations which don’t fall into line.

Turkey is crying wolf about the refugee crisis which is clearly ridiculous because this nation is supporting the FSA which is responsible for entering major cities in Syria. Also, Syria took in over one million refugees from Iraq who fled this nation when the same Sunni Islamist terrorist networks began sectarianism and spreading terrorism throughout this country. Today, the same Islamist networks in Iraq are on the same side against secular Syria.

If individuals watch the many videos which highlight the brutal reality of the FSA and various Islamic terrorist organizations; then clearly it is difficult to fathom why this brutal reality is being supported openly. It is also difficult to understand the role of many leading media agencies which use manipulative language and often report misinformation even when evidence points in the other direction, or when not enough evidence can be found to justify false reporting. Therefore, many media agencies have flagrantly incited hatred and bowed down to powerful policy makers in Washington, London and Paris.

In Aleppo it is clear that the FSA not only invaded and committed many massacres but equally important it is obvious that the vast majority of citizens in this powerful city are against them. This doesn’t suit the sectarian rhetoric directed towards the government of Syria by nations which are supporting sectarianism because the Sunni Muslim majority did not openly demonstrate for the FSA. This is abundantly obvious because no major agency could show mass demonstrations in support of the FSA. However, when the Syrian armed forces began to control many areas of Aleppo then you had mass demonstrations in support of the government of Syria.

Therefore, why are nations like America, the United Kingdom, France and Turkey supporting the side of terrorism, sectarianism, killers of religious minorities and backing the FSA and Islamist groups which are beheading and hanging people? Not only this, nations like France and Turkey are now in the vanguard of trying to create “terrorist free zones” in Syria in order to crush the secular government of this nation. Nobody expects morality from Saudi Arabia which supports killing apostates and enslaves women; however, why are so-called “democratic nations” supporting the feudal monarchies of Qatar and Saudi Arabia in their sectarian plots?

Islamists enter Aleppo in Syria and Russia implies that US is endorsing terrorism: Syria needs help

Islamists enter Aleppo in Syria and Russia implies that US is endorsing terrorism: Syria needs help

Jibril Khoury and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

Political leaders in Washington, Riyadh, London, Ankara, Paris, and Doha, continue to encourage the Free Syrian Army (FSA) to enter major cities in Syria in order to overthrow the government of Bashar al-Assad. The various units of the armed forces of Syria which are exclusively Syrian are fighting the FSA which relies on outside nations for support. Not only this, the FSA is also supported by international jihadists, covert operatives, mercenaries and special agents from various nations. It is also noticeable that while the armed forces of Syria represent all the faith communities of this country. The same can’t be said about the opposition FSA which is virtually a Sunni Islamist movement.

The armed forces of Syria which represent the mosaic of this country, is up against various brutal sectarian and terrorist organizations. Equally alarming, is the fact that the FSA and other terrorist organizations like al-Qaeda have carte blanche to kill political ministers, refugees, religious minorities, journalists and elites which are loyal to the Syrian government. Such blatant support of international terrorism, sectarianism and sedition is being assisted by many media agencies which twist everything in order to pin the blame on the government of Syria.

Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, is clearly disturbed by Washington’s lack of concern about the terrorist tactics of the FSA which is being inflicted against the Syrian people and refugees. Recently government ministers have been killed, refugees were attacked by the FSA in Damascus, the BBC showed images of the FSA attacking people brutally in Aleppo, terrorists have killed journalists and religious minorities have fled various terrorist organizations. However, despite this, barely a murmur can be heard in Washington, London and Paris.

Therefore, Lavrov was clearly irked by the US State Department which made it clear that terror acts were not surprising given the current leadership of Syria. Lavrov responded by stating that “This is direct endorsement of terrorism. How are we supposed to understand that? …This is a sinister position – I cannot find words to express our attitude towards that.”

Lavrov also had harsh words for the comments made by Susan Rice who represents America at the United Nations (UN). Susan Rice somehow wants to link the terrorist attacks against the people of Syria and link this with enforcing a UN diktat against the government of Syria. In other words, terrorists are to be rewarded for spreading more mayhem and carnage. Lavrov reacted by stating that “In other words this means ‘We are going to support such acts of terrorism until the UNSC does when we want,”  it is certainly a strange measure to be taken by a nation which suffered so badly from terrorism on September 11.

Lavrov also responded to news that terrorists had took over border controls. He stated that “If such actions of taking territories by terrorists are supported by our partners, we would like to ask them what their position on Syria is. What do they want to achieve in this country?”

At the same time Hillary Clinton, US Secretary of State, made it clear that opposition forces which are armed, trained, paid and where leaders are based in various different countries, should be supported once firm bases are created in Syria. This would imply that FSA bases in Turkey and other covert operations in this country will move next to having firm military bases within Syria. Once this takes place then the border areas will be able to take in fresh Islamists, mercenaries, covert operatives and special agents in order to crush secular Syria. Surely, this is a direct violation of many international laws but for a nation which dropped Agent Orange all over Vietnam and surrounding nations like Laos and Cambodia, then anything is possible. After all, international law doesn’t take into account the reality of major powers which abuse other nations.

If Moscow is truly interested in solving the Syrian crisis then clearly it is essential to protect the government of Syria if the US is going to create “a bridgehead” to destroy the armed forces of this nation. China, BRIC nations, Iraq and friendly regional nations which are independent must do more to stem the tide of “international terrorism” and the “destabilization of nations.” Now, no nation can claim to not know the objectives of Washington – therefore, either Syria is protected by nations which are free of political pressure from America – or yet another nation will be crushed by outside forces which only care about geopolitics.

Of course this isn’t implying a major war, on the contrary, like the Russian Federation mentioned time after time a political solution is needed. Yet if so many nations are going to sponsor the destabilization of a country including using terrorism, sectarianism and sedition; then a joint peacekeeping force of “trusted nations” is needed. Either the world abides by institutions which support consensus and joint action when appropriate – or the continuing destabilization of nations will take place on the “watch” of Washington, Riyadh, Paris, London, Ankara and Doha.

Media outlets may like to focus on the reality of Afghanistan, Iraq and Kosovo. Since the end of the Kosovo conflict hundreds of Serbian Orthodox Christians have been killed by Kosovo Albanians but how many Kosovo Albanians are in prison for these crimes? Indeed, Hashim Thaci is implicated in the organ scandal whereby people were killed for organs but despite this he can visit America and Japan freely. Likewise, if the US and allies couldn’t bring about peace in Iraq then what hope of achieving anything in Syria? Not only this, look what happened to the Christians, Shabaks, Yazidis and Mandaeans in this country – does the same fate await the minorities of Syria? Lastly, the US entered a coalition with Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan in the 1980s and early 1990s. Only after September 11 did America concern itself with terrorism because this event meant that former allies would now become enemies by default. Yet just like before this US-Sunni Islamic terrorist alliance took hold before September 11 – then even after the “false war between former friends” took place – it is clear that both periods witnessed chaos and no peace can be found after the Najibullah government was defeated.

If America and other nations are so concerned about other countries being militaristic then maybe they could hint to Turkey to leave northern Cyprus and to stop abusing the sovereignty of Iraq. Likewise, America, the United Kingdom and France should look in the mirror. However, this isn’t going to happen and the same applies to the “Palestinian Question.” The reality is simple, powerful nations can destabilize at random and the media war will do the rest along with the other ratlines. It is time for other nations to stand up to the “failed domino theory” before Washington decides on picking on another nation.

Meanwhile, FSA terrorists have entered Aleppo and the BBC link below shows them brutally attacking un-armed civilians. One can only imagine what would have happened if the FSA had not been caught on camera. Once more terrorists enter major cities and start fighting while civilians are based in the same area. It should be remembered that it wasn’t the Syrian armed forces which entered Aleppo to start fighting. However, this will be ignored by many major agencies which have an agenda because the new world order is “follow the leader” and this especially applies when the Democrats are in power in Washington.

It is essential for the Syrian army to prevent any major city falling to the FSA and other terrorist networks. The same applies to preventing firm bases near the border in order to increase the ratlines entering Syria. If the US does what Hillary Clinton implies then the Russian Federation and other nations must respond to this open aggression by sending in peacekeepers providing the government of Damascus supports such a move.

Syria: Assad took in refugees from Iraq but now the FSA cleansing the Shia, Christians & refugees

Syria: Assad took in refugees from Iraq but now the FSA cleansing the Shia, Christians & refugees

Murad Makhmudov, Jibril Khoury and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

The BBC in its coverage of Syria is clearly biased against the government of Bashar al-Assad. In fairness to the BBC this organization is not alone because the endless negativity of secular Syria under the current government is blamed for every ill under the sky. However, for once this news agency reported the cleansing of the Shia in Damascus by forces of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA), which in essence is a terrorist and mercenary organization.

Once more the FSA which is supported by a wide array of nations including America, the United Kingdom, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, and by others doing the bidding of the axis of America and Saudi Arabia, began cleansing Iraqi Shia Muslims in Damascus when they entered the capital city. This is clear evidence once more that Christians, Alawites, the Shia and others have much to fear from the wanton violence of the FSA.

It must be stated clearly that Iraqi refugees never fled Damascus when under the full control of the Syrian Army and the leadership of Bashar al-Assad. On the contrary, various faith groups from Iraq were given sanctuary in secular Syria. These refugees in vast numbers fled the vacuum unleashed by America in Iraq. Therefore, Syria under Bashar al-Assad took in Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Shia Muslims, Sunni Muslims, Shabaks, Yazidis, and any Iraqi national fleeing the chaos of this country. Of course, the above refugees did not desire to flee to Saudi Arabia and Turkey. With regards to Turkey this applies to past history related to the massacre of 1.5 million Armenians, Greek Orthodox, Assyrian Christians and other minorities in the early part of the twentieth century.

These refuges also couldn’t flee to Saudi Arabia which is the bastion of “Sunni Islamic fundamentalism” and where women are kept in the shadows. Also, the ethnic cleansing of Orthodox Christians in Cyprus in the middle of the 1970s by Turkey is further evidence of anti-Christian hatred within the institutions of Turkey. Meanwhile turning back to Saudi Arabia it is clear that non-Muslim minorities would not flee to this nation. This applies to Saudi Arabia supporting the killing of apostates and the same nation will not allow one Christian church.

However, this reality, and the reality that the vast majority of terrorists who did September 11 emanated from Saudi Arabia, never concerns political elites in Washington, Paris and London. Not surprisingly, with nations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar supporting the FSA, it is clear that this terrorist and mercenary organization would start cleansing minorities in Syria. Therefore, for once the BBC is highlighting the brute reality of outside nations spreading sectarianism, terrorism and wanton violence.

In the article by Rami Ruhayem which was published by the BBC it is stated that One of the refugees told me he had seen leaflets in Sayyida Zainab warning Iraqis there to leave within three days.”

“Another said an entire Afghan family had been shot to death in their homes.”

“Many of these Iraqis had been in Syria for well over a decade, and others left in 2006 and 2007, as Iraq descended into its own civil war.”

“Their story, and the way they told it, captures a snapshot of a reality slowly unravelling in Syria and Iraq, almost in parallel; the passing of the era of Baathist dictatorship, and what many fear is the rise, in its place, of virulent sectarianism.”

However, you have one noticeable difference because this time it is nations like America, the United Kingdom and France which are also supporting sectarianism. This is giving the FSA carte blanche to cleanse their areas of Alawites, Christians and followers of the Shia. The only binding factor is that Saudi Arabia supported sectarianism in both Iraq and Syria. After all, the biggest numbers of terrorists who entered Iraq from outside nations came from Saudi Arabia. Yet, just like September 11 and the Saudi Arabia connection this reality didn’t mean much to America. Therefore, even when thousands of American soldiers were being killed by the ratlines linking various organizations in Saudi Arabia with terrorism in Iraq, the elites in Washington still did nothing.

Now in Syria the Obama administration under the auspices of Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice are tacitly in collusion with Sunni Islamic terrorism and spreading sectarianism. Not surprisingly and within in a short period of time the FSA once more showed its hatred towards all forms of humanity when entering Damascus. After all, it is clear that Afghan and Iraqi refugees are non-combatants in Syria but to the FSA it was a time to kill and slaughter. Yet, like usual, this will not matter one jot to political elites in Washington, Paris and London. At the same time many major media outlets will put a spin on events in order to incite hatred towards the Syrian government.

In an earlier article by Modern Tokyo Times titled Syria: Christians fleeing to government areas from Sunni Islamic terrorist networksIt was stated that It is noticeable that Christians are fleeing to Syrian government controlled areas in order to be protected by the Syrian armed forces. Of course, this fact will not mean anything to leaders in America, the United Kingdom, and France. The same applies to the mass media, shameful human rights so-called organizations like Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, and international political leaders; which are fueling sectarianism and encouraging a bombing campaign against the government of Syria.”

“All leading major religious figures in Syria have spoken out against outside meddling but their voices are being ignored. Instead, the flow of money from the proxies of America, keep on supporting all “the dark forces” in Syria. The Russian Federation is doing everything in its power to reach a peaceful solution and to reduce the bloodshed. However, given past history, then the future looks bleak for Syria unless friendly nations really support this nation politically, economically, and militarily.”

Likewise, Russia Today commented that “The Christian minority in Syria is facing a growing threat and thousands are being forced to flee their homes as they face harassment and discrimination from radical Islamist factions of the opposition.”

“At least 9,000 Christians from the western Syrian city of Qusayr were forced to seek refuge after an ultimatum from a local military chief of the armed opposition, Abdel Salam Harba, Fides News Agency, reports.”

It is noticeable that minorities did not flee areas under the control of the Syrian armed forces. On the contrary, minorities have fled the barbarity of the FSA and various other terrorist organizations which are being assisted by outside of nations. Also, the nation of Syria under Bashar al-Assad took in refugees from Iraq irrespective of the religious or ethnic persuasion of the individual. However, just like minorities in Syria, it is now clear that Iraqi and Afghan refugees in this country are also fleeing the hatred of the FSA.

In the BBC article it was stated about the FSA by one refugee fleeing that “They are not an army, they’re just gangs. There’s only one army, the Syrian Arab Army, and they have a right to protect the people and the country. They are in control in Damascus.”

Despite stating this, it is clear that refugees from other nations in Damascus fear the sectarianism of the FSA. Therefore, with the knowledge that outside nations will continue to support this terrorist organization many are fleeing once more. For Iraqi refugees in Syria they fled the violence unleashed by the vacuum created by America in Iraq – and now they are fleeing the open instigation of Washington supporting terrorism against Syria. The same refugees have also fled the sectarianism of Saudi Arabia which was unleashed in Iraq and which is now being unleashed against the people of Syria.

Syria and Russia: Putin remains firm and highlights hypocrisy – reality of Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan

Syria and Russia: Putin remains firm and highlights hypocrisy – reality of Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan

Boutros Hussein and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation is highlighting the need to resolve international disputes through the proper channels of international law and diplomacy. On the other hand, many political leaders in America appear all too hasty to start another major war and create yet another failed state. Vladimir Putin commented about this reality and given the facts of Afghanistan, Kosovo, Iraq, and Libya; then it would take a brave individual to disagree.

Iraq even today can’t hold a major international conference without spending vast resources on protecting any specific event from the threat of terrorism. Obviously, the fact that the leaders of America, the United Kingdom, France, and others, have to sneak into Afghanistan and back out again quickly highlights the complete failure of decades of Western meddling. Indeed, Afghanistan under Najibullah was more secular and progressive compared with the current reality of this nation.

Modern day Afghanistan is based on continuing feudalism, a land where apostates face death, women throughout most of the nation remain discriminated against, and the Taliban can strike at any moment. On top of this, you still have a major heroin problem and the central government is not only weak, it is corrupt and is increasingly more conservative. Therefore, since Western and Sunni Islamic states began to meddle into Afghanistan they have done nothing but spread terrorism and a dangerous ideology during the first stage. Then after September 11, former allies have become estranged friends and this notably applies to the relationship between America and Pakistan.

Similarly, in Libya many atrocities have been committed by the new power brokers. Indeed, it is difficult to state “power brokers” because various militias and regions have their own power bases. Therefore, the central authority is very weak and clearly tensions throughout Libya remain. Also, many black Africans were lynched by the so-called progressive forces in the early period. Today, meanwhile, many allegations of torture have come to the fore and very little progress is being made.

Vladimir Putin therefore is disillusioned by the constant posturing of certain nations towards bombing and supporting covert operations against independent nations. In Kosovo, the United States and United Kingdom supported Hashim Thaci who is tainted by the organ scandal. Also, Kosovo remains to be a land where Orthodox Christians can’t travel freely in the place of their birth and criminality remains a fact of life.

Vojin Joksimovich wrote in Modern Tokyo Times, regarding the organ scandal in Kosovo, that “In this era of WikiLeaks the UN report dated October 30, 2003 was leaked.  France 24 TV channel was one of several media outlets to reveal the content of this confidential report. Even this author managed to get a copy of this 29 page report. The report originated from Eamonn Smyth, Head of ICTY Mission in Skopje and Pristina to Patrick Lopez Terres, Chief of the ICTY Investigations. The report says that 100-300 mostly Serbian men were abducted and taken by truck/van to detention facilities in Albanian towns of Kukes and Tropoje. Beginning in August 1999 some of these captives (24-100) was transferred from Northern Albania to secondary detention facilities (private homes and rough industrial compounds) in central Albania, mainly near the towns of Burrel and Peshkopi. Then they were moved to a private house south of Burrel that was setup as a makeshift clinic. There, medical equipment and personnel were used to extract body organs from the abductees, who then died. Their remains were buried nearby. The organs were transported to Rinas airport near Tirana. It should be noted that the airport was under the NATO control. A small number of female captives from Kosovo, Albania and Eastern Europe were also taken to the clinic. In addition to abductees taken to Albania alive, an unknown number of bodies of Serbian civilians killed in Kosovo were transported to Albania and buried in remote locations. The last delivery of captives was reported in spring or early summer 2000.

“The report identifies at least eight sources, all ethnic Albanians from Kosovo and Montenegro who served in the KLA. In the report they were listed with numbers as their identities were withheld. Four, who have directly participated in the transport of at least 90 Serbs, provided very detailed accounts of their roles including the exact dates. Of these, three sources delivered captives to the house/clinic south of Burrel. Two have participated in the disposal of human remains and one who has participated in the delivery of body parts to Rinas airport. The transports and surgical procedures were carried out with the knowledge and/or active involvement of mid-level and senior KLA officers. Doctors from Kosovo as well as an Arab doctor were involved. The operation was supported by the men with links to the Albanian secret police operatives of the government of Sali Berisha. Maps of the site locations were included. 10 Serbian victims were identified by name.”

Diana Johnstone commented that “Human rights campaigners in the self-righteous Western democracies are intransigent when it comes to ending what they call ‘the culture of impunity’ so long as it involves, say, Africa. But their own impunity and that of their clients seems more secure than ever.” This comment also applies to the current reality in Syria whereby international terrorists and outside nations are spreading sectarianism in Syria.

Francois Hollande, the new President of France, is already highlighting “a war mongering touch” within just a short period in office. He, like political leaders in America and the United Kingdom, are all too keen to blame the Syrian government for any misdeed. However, when the Free Syrian Army (FSA) which is a fusion of mercenaries, terrorists, and criminals, does massacres and ignites sectarianism then the same Western powers remain silent. This isn’t surprising given their “partners in crime” – Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Qatar – are all assisting in the terrorist and sectarian ratlines engulfing parts of Syria.

President Hollande also insists that President Bashar al-Assad must leave office but Vladimir Putin openly states that this depends on the “will” of the Syrian people. Hollande, just like President Obama, promised “a new world” based on greater transparency and international dialogue. However, behind the rhetoric of both are the same failed policies of supporting international terrorism and giving a “green light” to outside nations to spread their carnage.

Vladimir Putin dismisses many negative comments by certain political leaders who desire to enforce “their thinking” on the people of Syria. He stated that “If you think you can decide that for other nations, go to Cairo now and take part in the Egyptian presidential elections. You can’t do that! Nor can you or anyone else do that in Syria.”

Vladimir Putin further commented that “Why do we think that if we push someone from the current leadership away from power, prosperity will arrive there tomorrow?”

“What is happening in Libya? We all know what kind of a tyrant [Muammar] Gaddafi was…But do you know what was happening in Sirte when militants entered the city? Why do you not write about that? Has humanitarian wellbeing settled there?”

Many citizens in America, the United Kingdom, France, and other nations, are fed up with constant wars, media manipulations, and covert operations involving their elected leaders who are acting undemocratically. Of course, many will agree, but overall the vast majority is disillusioned despite all the domestic propaganda. After all, modern day Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, and Libya, are all failed states or patched up states (Kosovo not recognized by the majority of international nations). On top of this, hundreds of thousands of people have been killed and terrorism is a fact of life in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria because of outside meddling. Meanwhile, an organ tainted leader in Kosovo was supported – implying that killing individuals for organs is acceptable to leaders in Washington and London – because the same individual is free to visit America. Yet while he is free Orthodox Christian children in Kosovo have to be protected if they want to travel freely.

If killing hundreds of thousands of people is deemed fine, increasing narcotic problems (Afghanistan and Kosovo), creating a vacuum whereby terrorists flourish, and then taking the independence away from nations which were sovereign; then by all means, support individuals like Susan Rice, the American representative. However, if you are internationalist and support independence and “a collective approach” when the time is needed – then surely Vladimir Putin makes a million times more sense than the posturing of Hillary Clinton and Susan Rice.

The brutal murders of Muammar Gaddafi and Najibullah in Afghanistan highlight the bloody nature of the forces that were supported to overthrow both individuals. In the case of Kosovo you had political elites within the Albanian leadership who were involved in killing individuals for organs. Meanwhile, Saddam Hussein was taunted and goaded before being killed by the new state apparatus of Iraq.

Saddam Hussien and Muammar Gaddafi were once supported by the same nations which turned against them. It is clear that many atrocities took place under Saddam Hussein but during his time he served the West and Saudi Arabia well by keeping Iran in check. It is this utter hypocrisy and ruthlessness which makes individuals question their-own-so-called political leaders. Therefore, is it progressive to support terrorism and sectarianism against the Syrian people?

Vladimir Putin praised the Kofi Annan plan not because of the current reality on the ground which is being made worse by outside meddling. He did this on the grounds that Kofi Annan is seeking a solution to a complex problem based on political dialogue and not war.

Vladimir Putin stated during his meeting with Chancellor Merkel of Germany, that ”Russia has a good and long-standing relationship with Syria…We support Syria’s stability, sovereignty and people, and all parties should support the plan of the UN envoy Kofi Annan.”

”We have to stop talking about aborting Annan’s plan…Our mission is to end violence in Syria by all sides, and we agreed with Merkel that Russia, Germany and our partners have to de-escalate violence and help Annan achieve that.”

”We believe that we can hold dialogue at the United Nations Security Council, and sure we’ll have contacts with the Syrian leadership and will be in contact with the countries interested in this issue…We will do our best to reach a nonviolent, political solution to the crisis in Syria.”

It is hoped that the Russian Federation will not cave in to international pressure from Washington, London, Paris, Ankara, and Riyadh. Syria needs to be “a line which isn’t walked over” by hypocrites who have supported tainted individuals involved in organ scandals, covertly supported terrorists, remain quiet about the lynching of black Africans in Libya, and other vile episodes. The situation in Syria is being made complex because of the dangerous terrorist and sectarian policies of nations like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar – along with the usual players – this must end because history is repeating itself too much.

Japan seeks greater transparency about the banking issue in Europe

Japan seeks greater transparency about the banking issue in Europe

Pierre Leblanc and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

The government of Japan continues to be more outspoken under Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda when it comes to international relations, geopolitics, and economic issues.  Therefore, the Finance Minister Jun Azumi once more urged leaders in Europe to be transparent about the banking sector. This was in relation to the sovereign debt crisis and other issues connected with the ongoing financial situation.

After a working dinner for finance ministers from the Group of 20 the Japanese representative spoke frankly to reporters. Azumi commented that “If Europe needs worldwide support, even after doing what it can in addition to revealing sufficient information (about banks), then it might lead us (Japan) to consider.”

It is clear that Azumi is offering support to the European Union providing certain conditions are met which will enable Japan to increase its financial holdings in Europe. Capital injection and stability is needed in order to calm markets but for the last few months it is clear that every step forward was met with another step backward.

More alarming, the banking crisis in Europe appears to be spreading and nations like Greece are in crisis.  Japan, despite its own debt issue is still a nation with huge reserves and with massive financial holdings. Therefore, in recent months the government of Japan appears to be stepping up its priorities and this especially applies since Noda took office.

However, it is a continuation of the past leader of Japan, Naoto Kan, who was equally worried. Therefore, earlier in the year Japan stepped in and bought more Eurobonds but the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis, meant that more urgent issues were needed to be met at home.

Recently, despite the high yen, it appears that the government of Japan is feeling more confident and Noda is clearly concerned about internal debt issues in Japan and the international financial malaise which is ongoing.

Masaaki Shirakawa, the Governor of the Bank of Japan, also weighed in and made it clear that Japan had great experience in this area because of serious problems in the late 1990s.  Shirakawa stated that “It is necessary to correctly determine assets of financial institutions and have them raise capital by themselves if they run short of it…If (the institutions) still need more capital, then it requires capital injection.”

The approach from Japan is that Europe must try to grasp the situation and galvanize the financial sector by internal mechanisms. However, providing these internal mechanisms are based on a sound footing then Japan will purchase rescue bonds which will help the Eurozone.

Under Kan Japan stepped in by buying bonds to help Ireland and Portugal in January and June. This financial support by the Kan government was considerable because the total purchase of European Financial Stability Facility bonds accounted for approximately 20 per cent. Therefore, the Democratic Party of Japan is clearly concerned about events in Europe and the new leader Noda is determined to provide support after internal mechanisms are installed by European leaders.

In a past article by the Modern Tokyo Times it was stated that “Japan also knows that the European market and American market are very important for Japanese companies and it appears that the government is thinking about the long-term.  Therefore, providing a feasible plan is put on the table the government of Japan will help Greece which is in dire straits at the moment.”

“Japan’s economic system is far from perfect but it somehow keeps on ticking and the reserves of the nation are a blessing.  However, while America sits on its feet and does little to ease global pressure, the government of Japan is willing to help the European Union providing plans have a firm foundation.”

Azumi also commented about this issue the week before and stated that “If there is a scheme that is based on a firm process, involves a reasonable amount of money and could provide the world and markets with a sense of security regarding a Greek bailout, I would not rule out the possibility of Japan sharing some of the burden.”

Japan is letting it be known that support will be forthcoming and that the political leadership is fully aware about the seriousness of the crisis.

Japan government: $43 billion credit to main banks for M & A abroad

Japan government: $43 billion credit to main banks for M & A abroad

Joachim de Villiers and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

The government of Japan decided on providing a $100 billion dollars lifeline to help Japanese companies during this difficult time. This was agreed in August and the main area is to fund exporters and help with foreign purchases in order to counteract the strong yen.

Therefore, the three main banks have been allocated a $43 billion dollar credit line in order to help Japanese companies to expand overseas.  The high yen is putting a huge burden on exporters and this economic incentive is designed to sure up the business community, which is feeling the consequences of an unbalanced currency market.

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. is being offered a $15 billion dollars credit line and Mizuho Financial Group Inc. and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. are both being offered $14 billion dollars. The money is being channeled via the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and the move is seen to be positive.

The weakness of the dollar is creating major problems and in the last 6 months alone the yen rose 11%. At the same time you have mass instability in the Eurozone and tensions are rising between America and China because of China’s manipulation of its currency. Therefore, the yen is seen to be a safe haven given the current economic instability which is infringing on all major economies.

Yoshihiko Noda, the Prime Minister of Japan, and senior figures in the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ), are alarmed by the currency market because the high yen is not based on Japan’s economic reality. Therefore, a huge burden is being put on Japan at a time when funding is needed domestically because of the devastation caused by the March 11 tsunami and the ongoing consequences of Fukushima.

The logic behind the initiative is to help banks obtain dollars and then to utilize this credit line by offering loans to companies which are focused on obtaining acquisitions abroad.  This initiative will provide much needed capital and provide a cushion to the three megabanks and companies which seek to expand internationally.

Yoshinobu Yamada, an analyst for Deutsche Bank AG and who is based in Tokyo, commented that “This is a preparatory measure for any future event that may make it difficult for Japanese banks to procure the dollars in the market.” He continued by stating that “…Japan’s government needs to swiftly reconstruct the earthquake damaged nation and push domestic economic growth.”

Recent overseas acquisitions have totaled $56.7 billion dollars and this is the highest for three years and it is clear that despite all the mayhem that Japan seeks to counteract all these negatives.  Also, you have genuine fears that the yen will force some Japanese companies to relocate production abroad and the same applies to research and development.  Therefore, it is imperative that the government steps in and supports companies in Japan to weather the storm and to help in foreign acquisitions.

Yoshihiko Noda speaks candidly on his blog: Fukushima to Wakayama

Yoshihiko Noda speaks candidly on his blog: Fukushima to Wakayama

Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

Typhoon Talas

Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda speaks candidly and openly about his first week in office on his blog and he must be a little spellbound by the speed of events.  This does not only apply to being the new leader of Japan but to the reality of concerns at the moment.

PM Noda visited the disaster areas which were hit by the devastating earthquake and tsunami and the sad legacy of the nuclear crisis which continues in Fukushima. Not only this, he also visited areas hit by the recent typhoon and saw the devastation at first hand.  All of this will have hit home to PM Noda the reality of the ongoing problems that many people face in Japan in areas hit by natural disasters. Also, in the case of Fukushima it is part “man-made” or fully “man-made” depending on your thinking but nature triggered this crisis and human failings added to the nightmare.

Therefore, the new leader of Japan could be forgiven if he thought he was in a war stricken country with so much devastation happening this year in Japan.  However, this is not the case because this is the reality of the potent forces of nature which have killed tens of thousands of people in Japan this year.

The new leader of Japan took office on September 2 and immediately he focused on understanding the “real needs” of people who have suffered so much.  On September 8 he visited Fukushima and this was followed by visiting Mie, Nara, and Wakayama, the following day and on September 10 the new leader of Japan visited Miyagi and Iwate.

During his visit to Fukushima he inspected TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and the protective clothing will have brought home to him how brave the workers are and how loyal they are.  PM Noda commented that “The devoted efforts of the workers at the site are supporting this country.  With these feelings of appreciation, I encouraged the persons involved to the fullest extent of my power.”

PM Noda also witnessed how locals in Date are trying to decontaminate radioactive materials and on September 9 further funds were promised with the announcement of a 220 billion yen budget aimed at the decontamination of radioactivity. He also stressed the need for the central government to cooperate with local municipalities and to target this funding on areas which had been designated for evacuation.

PM Noda also told the Governor of Fukushima, Yuhei Sato, that “Without the revival of Fukushima, there can be no revitalization of a vibrant Japan.” Yuhei Sato relayed important information and requests were stated in order to restore faith in Fukushima. It is also important for the central government to relate to local politicians and people who have been hit by this tragedy and this meeting was a good way to show the sincerity of the new Cabinet.

The visit to Mie, Nara, and Wakayama, on September 9 applies to the devastation and loss of life caused by Typhoon Talas. PM Noda commented that “I felt very poignantly the depth of the traces of the damage from Typhoon 12 and the horror of the concentrated heavy rain and landslides.  I instructed that, with lifesaving as the foremost priority, all-out efforts are to be made towards emergency countermeasures for this disaster, including the relief and rescue of the victims, that it is imperative to strive to grasp the situation of damage in a rapid and accurate manner, and that efforts are to be made with a sense of urgency, in cooperation with the related prefectural offices and local authorities.”

The prime minister also met Mayor Teramoto of Nachikatsuura who lost his daughter to the destructive typhoon and on September 9 his wife had still not been found. PM Noda was deeply impressed by Mayor Teramoto because while politicians are often lambasted you also see the human face and real bravery of individuals like Mayor Teramoto.

The following day took the prime minister to Iwate and Miyagi and in Rikuzentakata (Iwate) the leader of Japan saw the utter devastation that was created by the tsunami. In the fishing port of Kesennuma a more optimistic note was seen because the fishing sector is starting again and PM Noda commented that he “…could feel vitality towards reconstruction” and that “the critical issues for my Cabinet are recovery and reconstruction from the earthquake and tsunami disaster, including bringing the situation at the nuclear plant under stable control.”

The new leader of Japan is under no illusions about the problems that he and his Cabinet faces and he also appears to be more determined to focus on the debt issue.  The mass media in Japan is mainly unforgiving but the early steps by the new leader of Japan show compassion, sincerity, the need to listen to people on the ground and a call to collective responsibility.

Libya: killing black Africans in the name of the revolution and democracy

Libya: killing black Africans in the name of the revolution and democracy

Boutros Hussein and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

Reports for many months have stated that Libyan rebels have been killing and persecuting black Africans in Libya once areas came under their control.  The number of reports highlighting this continues to grow and many images have been shown which show Africans being mutilated and having their bodies abused and mocked by non-black African Libyans.  This disturbing fact mocks the notion of “good” versus “evil” because both sides have committed atrocities but for black Africans it is the rebels who they fear.

It is clear that some rebels accuse Africans of being mercenaries for the Gaddafi regime and they believe that he was favorable towards them during his rule over Libya.  However, it is obvious that the vast majority of non-African Libyans based in Libya were normal workers who just desired employment.

Also, reports have stated that African Libyans are also being victimized and suffering persecution.  Therefore, since large areas have fell to the National Transitional Council (NTC) both non-African Libyans and African Libyans fear for their safety.

It is factual that many African mercenaries did fight alongside loyal Gaddafi forces and propaganda on both sides is being stated to the media. After all, you have anti-Western individuals who want to use Libya against some European powers and America for supporting the NTC.

Also, loyalist who still support Gaddafi desire to show that rebels are not democrats and that they have also committed atrocities. This means that the fog of war is also being played by many political elements and the propaganda war makes the issue more complex.

Alternatively, pro-rebel forces and Western governments who have supported the rebels have also pinned countless atrocities on Gaddafi. According to the rebels and Western governments who support the NTC, the Gaddafi regime was preparing to slaughter tens of thousands of individuals in rebel held areas before military intervention and arming the rebels took place.

However, it is apparent that non-African Libyans and African Libyans are residing in fear and many Africans have been killed who were not mercenaries. Nigerians who were caught up in the mayhem have heavily rebuked Libya’s NTC and Western powers who supported the rebels against Gaddafi. They have not done this on the grounds of supporting the Gaddafi regime but because of how they have been treated by the rebels.

Karlos Zurutuza, writer for Deutsche Welle, reports in his article titled Racist violence overshadows Libya’s revolution, that many Africans are suffering and being persecuted. He quotes a local rebel council officer called Abdulhamid Abdulhakim who states “None of them are Libyans. Those guys we keep inside are all foreigners paid by Gadhafi to kill our people, what are we expected to do with them? They are mercenaries, you know?”

Zeinab Muhamed repudiates this logic by stating that “They say we’re not Libyans but that’s not true. I was born in Chad but we moved to Sebah – 900 kilometers (560 miles) south of Tripoli – 20 years ago. We have had Libyan passports almost since the day we moved.”

Under Gaddafi he allowed vast numbers of African migrants to move to Libya because of the sheer size of Libya and natural resources. This, alongside the small population in Libya meant that outside workers were needed for menial jobs. However, the crisis of today is partly based on many Africans being recruited by the Gaddafi regime.

Many Libyans are also black Africans and they are also being persecuted and like stated earlier, it is obvious that the vast majority of African migrants were workers who had been welcomed by the Gaddafi regime.

Therefore, rebels and anti-Gaddafi individuals are exploiting the situation in order to clampdown against innocent Africans in Libya. This can be seen by many make-shift prisons which have sprouted up in areas controlled by the NTC.

Before local officials prevented African prisoners from speaking to Deutsche Well one prisoner from Ghana spoke.  Abiki Martens stated “I came from Ghana last year because my brother told me it was easy to find a job as a street cleaner. It seems that all of them are black. I swear I’ve never ever held a weapon in this country.”

Rebels counter accusations of racism and killings of Africans by stating that people killed or being held in make-shift prisons were found with military arms and had war wounds.  Therefore, implying that they were only holding Africans who are deemed to be mercenaries and that Africans who were killed had fought against rebel forces.

Human Rights Watch issued a statement calling on the need to stop “arbitrary arrests and abuse of African migrant workers and black Libyans assumed to be mercenaries (and that) …widespread arbitrary arrests and frequent abuse have created a grave sense of fear among the city’s African population.”

Sarah Leah Whitson who works for Human Rights Watch issued a chilling comment because she stated that “It’s a dangerous time to be dark-skinned in Tripoli.”

Reporters on the ground like Karlos Zurutuza and many others are stating similar things. Therefore, images of persecution and arbitrary killings during the height of the fighting is leading to an uneasy feel for the majority of Africans throughout Libya and something needs to be done to protect the innocent.

Yoshihiko Noda to become new Prime Minister of Japan

Yoshihiko Noda to become new Prime Minister of Japan

James Jomo and Lee Jay Walker

Modern Tokyo Times

The new leader of the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) was announced and it emerged that Yoshihiko Noda had won the run off in the second round.  This paves the way for Yoshihiko Noda to become the next leader of Japan and this will take place tomorrow.  Yoshihiko Noda is a fiscal conservative and it will be interesting to see if he increases consumption tax or if he will be constrained by multiple factors.

In the first round of voting it was clear that Banri Kaieda was the most popular but he could not obtain a clear majority and once the vote went to the second round then the Seiji Maehara block and others went over to Yoshihiko Noda.  However, the vote between Yoshihiko Noda and Banri Kaieda was close (215-177) and this in itself shows you the uncertainty which exists within the DPJ.

Seiji Maehara should never have put his hat in the ring because the donation scandal was only six months ago and clearly the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) would have made the most of this.  Therefore, he could not muster enough votes and he was knocked out and never reached the second round of votes.  The vote should be a wake-up call to Seiji Maehara because his advisors made a poor decision.

In another article about the election by the Modern Tokyo Times it was stated that “Issues related to the pension system, low birth rate, helping families, greater de-centralization, taxation, health care system, and other areas, alongside the urgent need to help people who are suffering because of the March 11 earthquake/tsunami, is what the majority of people are concerned about.”

Yoshihiko Noda does have a reputation of working well with the bureaucrats and this fiscal conservative will certainly be tried and tested because of the huge public debt and enormous restructuring of areas which were hit hard by the tsunami.  Added to this is the energy problem, ongoing reality of Fukushima and the nuclear crisis, the strong yen and other serious issues.

It is essential that Yoshihiko Noda is supported fully by all members of the DPJ and the mass media and general public need to be patient because the new leader faces many difficult problems. However, given all the domestic issues that he faces and knowing the nature of past events, then time will not be on his side and the usual impatience will rear its head in the near future.

Japan needs to break free from changing political leaders and Yoshihiko Noda needs breathing space.  Therefore, it is hoped that the new leader of Japan will implement major political reforms and that he will not be dragged down by political infighting, petty point scoring by the opposition, and a media circus when the going gets tough.
